First of all, you replied and quoted the wrong person.
The quote was in Fishtalk’s post # 6.
She’s talking about Brett Baier. As far as I know, he is one of the Fox News NeverTrumpers. Therefore, I do not watch him. I know what they’re all going to say, same as ABCCBSCNNNBC....
Anyway, Baier was on Rush Limbaugh’s show this week. Rush rarely has a guest, so I thought it was odd that he gave Baier almost 15 minutes of coddling air time. Rush had him on to ostensibly talk about his new book on FDR.
Baier talked about FDR’s mistake with thinking he could handle Uncle Joe, and had time after the war to do so, but as it turns out, FDR was VERY sick, and the long, circuitous sea voyage to Tehran in 1943, and then Yalta in Feb 1945 killed him; according to Baier. I did find the whole story fascinating, though.
Anyway, Rush did ask him several Trump questions, and Baier did seem to not be a NeverTrumper in his responses, and actually thought what the democrats are doing now is putting the nation through a Constitutional Crisis, which is accurate in MHO.
The FDR book was aimed at the 10-15yr olds. A very good audience for well written history books. Rush tried to do the same with his books for children.
Everyone, the Commies, the Jesuits and others always look to capture the young, as it generally holds, that once captured/Educated/Indoctrinated they tend to stay that way .
History is always applicable to everyone, An ONLY Victors write history, others need to dig deep to be educated about times and mores other that the ones they live in, like us.
We do not know many of the reasons and attitudes of the American electorate as to why FDR was able to establish with great Glee what is now the domestic enemy of the U.S. Constitution, the DEEP STATE
