They didn’t stop after the election. The whole thing was, as one of the Fascist conspirators said, an anti Trump insurance policy in case he won. He won they tried to over turn the election results. That’s Treason.
Of course they didn’t stop after the election, but Trump is specifically talking about spying during the campaign, which is before the election, so it can’t possibly be “treason”. It’s a bad choice of words.
