They don’t clear the underbrush. That’s the biggest factor..In a sane world they would be sued into oblivion for all the damage they’ve caused.
True, they’ve let the forests run wild. I’ve been told the environmentalists changed a rule from twenty feet brush and trees from power lines to merely four feet. PG&E would have to shut down power in high winds with an easy four foot sway not including all the brush flying in the winds.
