Cory should ask how pandering to the left worked for Mike Coffman in his re-election.

That’s a good reminder.

Cory will possibly end up as a mediocre lobbyist in DC.

It’s too bad.

Had heard the number was in the 800k range— but of course none of this would be in the Deseret News or any main media— and it may be an “internet” petition thing. But if so— that many signing on— ought to give the idiot a sign.

There is a Vice News (yeah, i know) on youtube from back in 2012— the “Mormon vs. NarcoCartel Mexican Wars” It’s a close look at where Romney came from and the immigration issue of the 2012 election against obamaumao ( Mexico Romney’s birthplace btw- yet another reason someone thought it “safe” to run him against the obi-wan-kenyobi kenyan usurper- cause he could say.. nothing and be designated loser again). All the mormons living in two or 3 pristine “Colonia” towns in mexico. Colonia LeBaron, Colonia Juarez and Dublan are all that remain of the many settlements made in 1885. In Chihuahua and Sonoran states mostly. And begun to continue polygamy.

Disappointing, but not surprising.

I heard only 3 haven’t signed on now.

Mitt, Lisa, and Susie.

I say Susie will wring her hands but will be a good girl in the end.

I vote absentee via Georgia. Isakson will be remembered.

Look on the bright side. If those signing onto condemning the house now number 50, and Mitt and his fellow never-trumpers are not among them, that means that Dems in the Senate are crossing over. This happened in the House during the Clinton impeachment, and it was a good thing then. It’s doubly good now.

“The resolution, as I understand it, never had a chance of passing and was just for show, because all it takes is one Dem to vote it down anyway. (A resolution must be unanimously passed and doesn’t even then have any legislative power, as it is only passed by one chamber of Congress and therefore not given to the President for signing anyway.)”

You are correct but optics wise, this wouldn’t look good if a majority of the Senate voted against the resolution.

Everyone needs to understand that such resolutions are absolutely meaningless.

Unless it is a measure of how many in the GOP would vote for an immediate dismissal of impeachment articles coming from the House. I don't think it is. Some of them don't want to be smeared in the press as judging before seeing the evidence. Never mind that Dems are going to do exactly that.

If the House Dems send articles of "articles of impeachment" to the Senate without a vote of the entire House it will be DOA.
