As a woman(xx-woman), I find this insanity insulting to the rest of us, or should I say the majority of us. Allowing an xy-man who identifies as feminine to compete as a trans-woman against xx-women athletics is no different then allowing doping so that an athlete can unfairly win a competition because they have had injected steroids and hormones.
If an xy wants to identify as feminine, fine, same with an xx who wants to identify as masculine. However; legally and by genetic makeup, one is what nature made each of us by bringing together those chromosomes that make each one of us, either male or female.

Those with xy will have more than just testosterone so limiting testosterone does little to nothing.
Males are born with greater lung capacity, better oxygen distribution capabilities, hip centering better for running, better capillary configurations and so on.
