No, I meant the Washington Times. As it existed under the “Moonie church” until it ended its subsidies to the Wash Times. I don’t remember how long ago, it started cutting back on its printed distribution area and one day it stopped arriving at my house near Andrews AFB, Maryland.

They announced that all subscriptions outside the beltway were being terminated. Within a year, it completely closed down and that was about 2009-10. I don’t remember when it was reopened by someone else but it was a couple of years later.

The current Washington Times is a re-start from a few years ago, but after 2010.

In the meantime the Washington Examiner began as a conservative paper that was initially free at all of the Metro subway train stops and in boxes downtown. And then the Examiner stopped the print edition and went all digital.

Didn’t know that!
I didn’t subscribe to either paper, so paid little attention to them.
