It’s about control, these things have been around long before Karl Marx came on the scene.

They are protesting because they want to maintain the personal protections of the legal system handed to them by Great Britain. They do not want to be subjected to the Court system in China.

There is just as much capitalism in Hong Kong as there is in Shanghai. It is personal liberties and the protections of law afforded the individual that are at question.
