As the 2020 election approaches, the United States is deeply and bitterly polarized, shaken by acts of random and not-so-random violence, with wages still rising too slowly, income inequality continuing to increase and the American dream feeling more and more out of reach for too many people. Despite low unemployment and a frothy stock market, voters feel a deep anxiety about the future and a dark anger at the political system.
With just a year to go before Election Day, global alliances are fraying as the U.S. turns inward. The culture wars are raging on campus and off. For only the fourth time in American history, a U.S. president is being investigated by the U.S. House of Representatives with an eye toward impeachment. Immigrants are being demonized and detained; homelessness is reaching crisis levels in big cities; and craven, self-interested lawmakers have Congress paralyzed, unable to act effectively on these and other policy issues, including the terribly urgent matter of climate change, which threatens our very existence.
Flitting above this chaotic landscape - fomenting, provoking, preening, spewing, tweeting, blustering and bullying - is President Donald Trump, the worst, most dangerous president in modern history.

“I live near Green Bay and I certainly dont see any of the disaster the LA Times sees I see growing families and a Saturday shopping scene that is vigorous and happy.”
It’s like this in Bozeman as well - our ‘Daily Chronicle’ (every day except Monday, that is) is a horrible rag of a newspaper.
Bozeman is a truly wonderful area that has always experienced simple yet solid growth with a state university (Engineering and Agriculture).
Most cities/towns would LOVE to be in the position we are in yet this slimy RAG thinks Trump is a bad president and Obama and Hillary are ‘wonderful.’
Our Bobcats are 5-2 (2-1 conference) Go Packers!
You can taste the hate they have for us in every line of this screed.

In the majority’s eye the introduction to socialism was the free nations biggest mistake.
Funny you should say, I went through an entire bottle of Listerine, two hot showers and steam-cleaning my computer just to get that odoriferous stench out.
You go there seeking local news (as I'm sure they do in Bozeman) and get smacked in the face by stinking liberalism.
Who is paying for and orchestrating this?
Going to be stopping in Bozeman, Costco for elk camp supplies, Friday. Bagged an antelope buck in Alzeda opening weekend Sunday. Hell of a long way to travel for fast food but can’t argue with a successful hunt.
Spousal unit says our winter should be milder than normal ... whatever that means. Hope it is a good one for you.
Our local slimy Rag here in the Bitterroot is no better than yours.
“Bagged an antelope buck in Alzeda opening weekend Sunday”
Good for you!
“Spousal unit says our winter should be milder than normal ... whatever that means. Hope it is a good one for you.”
Thanks, last Winter was COLD! This winter will be better. Snow tires go on Wednesday...
Good newspapers are hard to find...
Best!
poor baby, he sounds really upset, almost as if he lost his binky and can’t find it.
"Self-interested" in trying every trick and stunt in the democRAT playbook to remove a duly elected president from office.
"Unable to act on other policy issues" means they aren't interested in any policy issues but their conspiratorial coup to oust Trump.
"Terribly urgent matter of climate change, which threatens our very existence" means these people are so stupid and intellectually void of common sense, that they think unless we enact the Green New Deal, we will all be dead, including the planet, in less that 12 years.
Do these people actually read what they write? If they did, they'd know how lame-brained they sound. Because the rest of us can see right through their misplaced rhetoric.
What a hate filled screed of propaganda that article is! There is not an honest word in it.
