Atlantic Canadians depend on federal subsidies so they habitually vote Liberal.

Then too, its a value difference between east and west.

Western doesn’t have enough ridings to affect much. It’s usually decided before. The west leans heavy conservative except for usually southern BC because they’re a bunch of leaf licking hippies down there, they shouldn’t even be allowed to vote.

ON will decide the election. Tories will have to do very well there because they can’t pick up enough seats elsewhere.

Oh, I know they do, but that needs to stop. They have resources they don’t bother developing because we keep spoon feeding them. I’m very angry, because I might have to move and I love living in northern Alberta. I will have to seek opportunities elsewhere or otherwise I will have to wait for them to come try to take my firearms. I likely wouldn’t survive waiting for that solo.

The Tories will make a clean sweep in AB. Liberals don’t even a provincial level party.

Yes, but it doesn’t matter, it’s usually decided before it gets here.

Its a British term for a parliamentary constituency. There are 338 of them across Canada.

https://newsinteractives.cbc.ca/live-blog/federal-election-live-2019?scribble_id=2904919 Some thoughts from the Maritimes

The tide is turning in Atlantic Canada. In 2015, it was a red wave — but we're seeing gains from the Conservatives and the NDP tonight.

CBC News has declared the Conservatives the winners in two New Brunswick ridings and they're currently leading in three other ridings in the province.

In Nova Scotia, there are 11 ridings and it looks like two are leaning Conservative. Incumbent Liberal MPs Sean Fraser and Geoff Regan have been declared winners in their ridings.

P.E.I. is leaning Liberal, with Lawrence MacAulay declared the winner in Cardigan.

Finally, the NDP managed to make a comeback in St. John's East with Jack Harris taking back the riding from the Liberals. But the Liberals did manage to sweep the rest of the ridings in Newfoundland and Labrador.

conservatives at 30% , when the areas counted so far are strongly liberal, .....so I would say, looking good. Trudeau will get almost nothing west of Ontario.

I’ll say this. The fact that I’m on FR should give you an idea how I feel about the idiot. I felt the same way about 0 for 8 long years. I’m a bit cynical about government in general and have a pessimistic outlook which I struggle with. I will at best say a prayer for all those in authority over us even the most vilest because we have been instructed to do so. And may God bless us all...night

Important to remember, this is a 6 party contest, no one will get a majority.

Much more interesting than districts that can be gerrymandered.

I know CPC picked up some seats that were previously liberal, but I’m not very optimistic about the overall results. I’m concerned if things go bad, I will have to leave. If there are enough men in the west willing to fight, that’s great, but I won’t do it alone.

I read a book recently "The Accidental Superpower" in which a chapter is dedicated to Canada with the theory that Alberta will eventually succeed to the U.S. and be much better off as a U.S. state as right now they are being asked to fund all the welfare back east.

Would like to see that happen in my lifetime.
