Stupid people insist on trying things that intelligent people know won't work.
That's the curse of high intelligence: you have to watch the morons try everything you know won't work, wait for them to fail, and then help them pick up the pieces.
If only stupid people could understand that they're stupid, it would save lots of frustration and heartache.

Perhaps it did work to the liking of some folks (those globalists/communists/socialists who sought to destroy what remained Christian Germany by diluting it with Muslims).
It is possible that Merkel wasn't aware of the agenda but that seems unlikely. More likely that the blame is falling on her head and she is seeking to divert it elsewhere by playing stupid/dumb.
