No one vacations in Nebraska except to see family.

LINCOLN, Neb.
U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas didn’t go to school in Nebraska and he wasn’t raised in Nebraska, but he has a passion for the Cornhusker and demonstrated it Tuesday.
Thomas addressed a leadership conference at the Championship Club at the university. The U.S. associate justice who has garnered critics for his reticence on the bench was an outspoken supporter of the state and its people Tuesday.

Thomas has led the Cornhuskers on the field as an honorary coach. If it’s the Big Red, Thomas said he’s “N.”
“My shirts, my wardrobe is ‘N.’ My screensaver is Huskers,” he said.
He said his love of the state is more than about football.
“It’s about life,” Thomas said.
He said he became enthralled with the Huskers through his in-laws. Don and Marge Lamp are from Omaha and were die-hard fans. They have since died.
