Isis started as a rouge group of supposed "moderate" rebels turned out they were anything but.US armed them to the teeth and they went nuts. Also some were Republican Guard from Saddam who had no place to go. They were all maniac Sunni of the worst kind. Do or die. Follow their versions of the koran or get killed in a variety of ways. Put in a cage and set on fire, heads cut off, you name it they invented it. ISIS survived because they were well organized.Where did the organization come from? Well think Baghdaddi and cia.
Then there is the kurds. Millions of them spread out in eight different countries all claiming this portion of land or that portion of land and other countries claiming the same thing.
Than there is Iraq with weak leaders. Now influenced by Iran with ties to Iraqi shia and don't forget lots of shia types in Syria as well called alwwaites. Turkey wants to play as well. They have a huge military, well organized, and Erdogan has a big smuggling business going on courtesy of his kid Bilal. It runs just off the Turkish border for about 20 miles. Sound familiar? Just where papa Erdogan wants to place some three million undesireables in Turkey who were let in for some unknown reason and now need to go.
Put it all together and you have a cluster that will be near impossible to manage.
Oh yeah, I left out the Russians. They have always wanted a warm water port like Syria has. But, they learned from their days in Afghanistan not to get bogged down in the middle East with a bunch of Koran/Mohammad loving whackjobs who still live in the 8th century but have 5g in their back pockets. The two never mix.
It's hilarious to see or read all the driveby and fake news idiots go giddy over this, as if it is their happiest and wildest fantasy come true.
Not one will face the truth and ask the question you just commented on:

I have YET to see a single reporter bring this up, even though to a logical, thinking person, it is a worthy question, or at least deserves a comment.

Absolutely, they have battle staff type meetings with photos of Trump on the wall with strings pinned to who or what will nail him.
There’s interns passing out donuts and coffee—or kale chips and green tea—while Top Minds statergerize on how they’ll use the show to “get” him, with brilliant guests and awesome “gotcha” questions.
They’ll probably need to get private rooms or new underwear just to contemplate it all...
Exactly could be where Tulsi comes into play.The dnc needs someone who could turn their numbers around into real instead of made up. She pretends to be pretty far away from the rest of her ilk.Although there is that pesky CFR assoc. and her time with gang of eight McCain and loads of other baggage she has buried in the sands of the mid east.But with enough lying she just might be viable.

The GOPe refuses to recognize or accept that Trump owns the GOP. If the GOPe turns on Trump, they will find themselves as chiefs without any Indians. I am sure those who voted against Trump on Syria have received some serious blowback from their constituents. Close to 60% of Rep voters support Trump on Syria.
