Police Seize Guns From Man Thought to Be Neo-Nazi Leader
The New York times ^ | October 17th, 2019 | Mike Baker

SEATTLE — When Kaleb J. Cole landed at Chicago O’Hare International Airport after a trip to Europe last year, federal officials were waiting at the gate for a chance to question him. In his luggage was the trefoil flag of a neo-Nazi hate group. On his phone, a photo of two people posing at the site of the Auschwitz death camp.

The officials did not charge Mr. Cole with any crimes that day, or in the months to come, despite information that he was a leader of the Atomwaffen Division, one of the most violent extremist groups in the country. But last month, according to records provided by a prosecutor’s office Thursday, the authorities in Seattle moved to seize a cache of weapons from Mr. Cole, using a state law intended to prevent gun violence.

“This was an individual who had access to firearms and was preparing for a race war,” Kimberly Wyatt, a prosecutor in King County, Wash., said in an interview on Thursday.

The move was part of a larger effort by investigators around the country, including the F.B.I., to crack down on members of Atomwaffen, as officials seek to counter the rising threat from hate groups. The Atomwaffen Division has been linked to a series of killings.

Do u remember under Clinton in nineties, FBI concentrated on domestic terrorists and not the global terrorists. Perhaps that was b/o the bombing in OK. But then we got 911.

The guy’s an Ahole, but so is one of my nephews, for a different reason. Neither reason is good enough to violate their 2nd Amendment rights. This will go to court, and the guy will get his rusted, bent guns back.

Well these guys are just as crazy if not more.......

They're definitely not the kind of people I want owning guns...........

>>>They’re definitely not the kind of people I want owning guns<<<

Are they Felons? Are they Illegal Invaders?

I don’t think they should be able to own a Two Ton Assault Motor Vehicle or have access to Bottles, Gasoline, Rags and Matches...

And Knives, especially if they go to Outback for Dinner...

And Lawyers...

And access to the Internet...

And Candy, bad people shouldn’t get any Candy...

There have been a couple of murders linked to individuals who were supposedly members, but BLM has killed more people by that metric.

Seems like I've read that "right-wing extremist groups" have been such a popular government target over the past several decades, that most of the supposed 'members' of such groups are actually paid government informants...

Are they Felons? Are they Illegal Invaders?

Then you support members of carrying firearms just as long as they don't have felony records?

So you support members of MS13 gang members owning guns just as long as they have no felony records?

Given the history of several mass murderers without felony records, the vast majority of 2nd Amendment supporters here overwhelming agreed they should not have had access to firearms.

So where did you stand?

With that being said, I'll back down from my statement and won't put up any argument against you two who believe that everyone, regardless of how dangerous they are due to their proven mental health or known gang affiliations should be allowed to own firearms as long as they haven't YET been convicted of a felony............

Carry on.........

It all goes back to who decides what constitutes a Gang or a Hate Group isn’t it?

Apparently wearing a certain Red Hat makes you the worst of the worst if you listen to the DNC Media.

Did the Group you mentioned commit violent Crimes or do people just disagree with what they believe?

If you fancy yourself a Communist, you can be on the Democrat Debate Stage.

Are those twelve Stalin Clause’s debating which of our God Given Constitutional Rights are negotiable being Red Flagged?

BTW - I hear that Free Republic Gang is as dangerous as they come.

Slippery meet Slope.

Next?
1A is already under attack.
Just recently got confirmation that the 4th is dead as the Fed. Gov. (ATF) claims authority to search email without warrant or probable cause.
Probably easier to say which items of the BOR are NOT under threat.

So far the 3A seems pretty secure?

Having read many of your prior posts professing a coming of a 2nd civil war, just exactly what will be the spark? Will it be the apparent violation of one's 2nd Amendment rights as in this case? And if so, where is your call to action to rally around this guy and help him out?

I wasn’t aware that I was ever professing a coming Civil War, but if the shoe fits...

We can only look to History to answer such questions.

I see the problem goes back to a simple idea, the American People have forgotten what true Freedom is. It’s that simple.

We live in an age where Tolerance will not be tolerated.

We have gone from simply disagreeing and looking to our Founding Principles to guide us to a Populace that thinks that others should be punished because their Beliefs do not fit the new Normal, which is always in flux.

The Foundation of our Republic is crumbling before our Eyes and sooner or later a spark will ignite a response.

My call to action is to Elect people who still believe in and revere the brilliance of our Constitution.

I know nothing of the guy’s Criminal Record. If he is innocent and is being singled out our Legal System by design should protect him. If it doesn’t, we are living in a Country that no longer resembles what the Founders envisioned.

Then we are the mercy of Newton’s Third Law, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Time will tell.

Then shame on you for not doing your due diligence by at least checking out his association with Atomwaffen Division. I even posted a link to their website which you obviously ignored........

You're back stepping now bro so give it up............Sheesh!

Good night.....

I support any citizen owning firearms. Illegals are not citizens. That means any citizen. Felony record or not. If it’s a violent offence they should be in prison. No gun rights in prison AFAIK.

MS 13 gang members, as long as they are citizens, should enjoy the same rights as enumerated in our Constitution, as any other citizen.

“Given the history of several mass murderers without felony records, the vast majority of 2nd Amendment supporters here overwhelming agreed they should not have had access to firearms.”

Want to post a few other strawmen? A free society by definition means that people you don’t agree with have the same rights as you. I’m not going to be the arbiter of “who can and who can’t”. 20/20 hindsight is great. If you applied that logic to everything, then there will be no more rights of any kind.

And Hell Yeah I support Felons carrying firearms. As long as they have served their time. It’s the 2nd amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. Not a damn suggestion. Do you support Felons having the right to the religion of their choice? Do you support Felons having the right to be secure in their home? Do you support Felons being deprived of life, liberty or property with out due process?

Freedom isn’t always easy. But it’s our right. And it’s been slowly eroded for many years.
