It is not just tech jobs. H1-B visas are used also for other jobs that really are not what is technical.
No they do not vote conservative. You obviously DON’T know the corrupt H1-B visa program and what is going on in places like Bellevue, WA and Silicon Valley (my home town). They are foreign economic zones now and most of the tech workers are not even citizens. They vote LEFT.

Here’s the positions of Neel Kashkari, the darling of the GOPe that they ran for Governor of California:
“On social issues, he has described himself as libertarian and “a different kind of Republican”, supporting abortion rights, same-sex marriage, and a path to legal status for illegal immigrants. He voted against California’s Proposition 8, which banned same-sex marriage in 2008. In 2013, he was one of 131 Republicans who signed a pro-marriage equality amicus curiae brief submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court as part of Hollingsworth v. Perry, the case in which the final appeal against the previously-found unconstitutionality of Proposition 8 was rejected for lack of standing. Kashkari owns four guns and considers waiting periods and background checks before purchasing a firearm to be reasonable.
On environmental issues, he voted against California’s Proposition 23, which would have suspended the state law that limits greenhouse gas emissions. He believes climate change is real and man-made. He has spoken positively of fracking and offshore oil drilling and negatively of California’s cap-and-trade program.
Kashkari cites Paulson, Mitch Daniels, and Jeb Bush as political mentors. He voted for Obama in the 2008 presidential election and Romney in the 2012 election.

SLC has more than a few software and tech companies so i am sure the contribute heavily to Lee, who is then expected to carry water on H1B. Pathetic.
We have plenty of tech workers in the USA Today’s kids are so tech savvy WHY in the hell do we need to bring in migrants???

Their plea should go to the House, not the Senate.

I respect Indians...a lot...but I don't want them getting work visas here.In fact,I don't want *any* foreigners getting work visas.
Asians (including Indians) are flooding the financial sector - and have been for years. Occupy Wall Street was initially driven by just that dynamic; the laid-off Americans were demonstrating in front of their former employers in NYC’s financial district, while the Asian coolies now working those jobs/filling those offices paraded into the buildings behind them. It was clearly visible on the news cameras.
At this point any American I dealt with there over 50 has been replaced by an Asian “scab”.
We are swamped with these Indian tech job thieves in Metro Atlanta. Whole subdivisions of them. Its an invasion.
Alpharetta seems to be a stronghold. ALL tech recruiter calls from Alpharetta are from Indians.
