Lithgow’s second marriage, to UCLA history professor Mary Yeager in 1981, is still going and they have a son, Nathan, and a daughter, Phoebe.
His only outside of marriage romp was with Liv Ullmann, during his first marriage and ending the union in 1980, which was, obviously straight.
Whereas I don’t appreciate his misguided and uneducated outlook on his politics, he is a fine actor and very versatile with it.

I once had a roommate who was an instructor in the Speech Dept. of a small college. Their debate team was so good that they beat Harvard in a national contest. The dramas and comedies they produced were excellent quality as well, virtually professional. We often had cast parties at our apartment. The best actors in the group were the most neurotic individuals I've ever encountered. It occurred to me that was the main reason they were so good on stage- -they so wanted to assume an identity other than their own.
