To: a little elbow grease

I know a lot of people think Hillary Clinton is a power broker among the Leftists. They cite blackmail leverage via the stolen FBI files and extortion via pedophile rings, ....plus her influence peddling via the Clinton foundation....

I think that all went “poof” the minute she lost to Donald Trump in 2016 - if she’s not POTUS - all that influence she peddled is worthless.

Even before that - the way she and the DNC so blatantly rigged the primaries against Bernie Sanders - that broke whatever evil spell she had somehow cast over the lower information Democrats.

Add to that the effect that Trump’s successful branding of her as “crooked Hillary”, along with the fact that losing exposed her corruption. After all, her ability to cover up her involvement in influence peddling and the SpyGate coup was dependent on her being President and therefore in charge of the deep state. When Donald Trump took over, the entire deep state went into CYA mode - it became every man for himself.

I think she will continue to make half-joking hypothetical comments about running - but she is just sending up trial balloons. After a few weeks of getting a ho-hum reaction, I am sure she will back off rather than risk embarrassing herself any further.

This business of her being the true winner because she won the popular vote - and this Democrat talk of scrapping the Electoral College - that is all a non-starter. For one thing, the Electoral College is baked into the Constitution, so scrapping it is no small matter. For another thing, even though many Americans may be ignorant about civics, they do know from football and other sports that you can’t just change the agreed upon rules when it suits you. You can’t say, for example, that the team gaining the most yardage is the true winner. No American would seriously try to make that argument, and the popular vote argument is just as weak.

When a loser makes such arguments, it only makes them sound like even more of a loser.

IMHO
