Fox News host Tucker Carlsons exclusive interview with Megyn Kelly ended up being a massive ratings draw for the network, grabbing a stunning 4.06 million total viewers.
Carlson who featured Kelly across multiple segments in her first appearance on cable news since she left NBC also netted 689,000 viewers in the advertiser coveted 25-54 demographic, beating out his closest competitor Sean Hannity in both categories for Wednesday night
Hannity drew an impressive 3.653 million viewers overall and 632,000 in the demographic.
Rachel Maddows program on MSNBC Wednesday night came in a respectable third place, drawing 574,000 in the demo and 3.44 million viewers overall.

Huh, that’s funny. I shut it off.
For those who think that Megyn burned every single bridge possible...well, someone just kept building additional bridges.
I think in three weeks, they will announce that she’s got the Shep time periods (maybe having to accept a partner as part of the deal). In January, I think she’ll be the primary ‘talker’ for Fox.
Most disgraced journalists don’t get a second chance...obviously, she’s beaten the odds.
Bridges to nowhere / s
Shes got a couple things going for her:
1) Her ill-advised blackface comment (its okay if its for dress up as a tribute, but not as ridicule) now makes it harder for the left to both excuse their Canadian golden boys blackface adventures but also condemn her.
2) She was at NBC during a time when there could be many tales she could tell, although she probably cant without violating confidentiality conditions of her windfall payout. But regardless, she gets to trade on some degree if viewer sympathy along with a voyeuristic curiosity over what she might say.
None of this is to say she should get rehired - although I will confess to watching her with Tucker, and thought they both handled that interview well. Im just speculating on reasons why Fox may consider bringing her back. I still think no, but I was somewhat softened i that view by the Tucker interview.
Then she'll make some anti-Trump comment, and the world will see her do a dead-cat bounce like none before.
Pretty white girl semi conservative makes a “comment” about black face and gets nailed to the cross, An America elected rat governor and a commie idiot Canadian prime minister actually do it and one claims white privilege and is forgiven and the other is still governor.
I wouldn’t rule her out as an eventual replacement for Judge Jeanine.
Don’t forget, Paul “We’re better than that” Ryan is at Fox now.
“An America elected rat governor and a commie idiot Canadian prime minister actually do it and one claims white privilege and is forgiven and the other is still governor.”

Go look at some of the Trudeau blackface threads and the number of FReepers who went to bat for him. They fell all over themselves to forgive Trudeau.
Fox News has enough liberals now, they don’t need another one. Go back to CNN or MSNBC Megan, I’m sure they will love you.
I think she is such a phony. Unimpressive.
People love freak shows, look at the success of reality TV.
If the Murdoch Morons are stupid enough to bring her back thinking she can carry an actual *news* show, they deserve exactly what they will get.
I think it’s just about guaranteed they bring her back for election season. They’ll want her for a debate.
after not seeing her for awhile..u can really see what a flake she is. Obssessed with sex stories as usual...this chick hates being a woman...

I don't understand why everyone bashes her so much. I think she got very cocky on Fox and was very well-liked initially, then everyone went bananas when she questioned Trump on the debates. I think it actually wound up helping him in the long run. That all being said, I was VERY impressed the night she took down Donna Brazile!!! She wasted that wench's sorry ass. Except now she's on Fox herself! Go fig.
Obviously she was "bashed so much" because she opposed Trump. There was absolutely nothing wrong in her questioning of the most salient issue from her point of view in the campaign, unless one views any reasonable questioning of candidates as somehow illegitimate.
Her point of view is from the feminist movement and that point of view has been consistent in her from Fox to NBC and back to Fox in this interview with Tucker Carlson.
As many in this thread have guessed, her interview with Carlson is obviously by way of a job interview. Fox did the same thing with Piers Morgan who is been espousing views both on Fox and in England which might ingratiate him to Fox viewers, but he is yet to leave England to return to the United States. We shall see about Megan Fox
If you follow the interview, you will note that Kelly reverted in every answer, no matter where the question led, to the issue of sexual harassment. This is precisely what she did in framing her initial question to Trump in the first debate which so offended Trump supporters. Last night, this was her SafePath to establish her bona fides as a feminist and a journalist facilitating a return to Fox.
she was careful to sidestep political questions and stick to the sexual harassment and fairness and evenhandedness in uncovering sexual harassment.
Many of those who denigrate Kelly now properly complain that CNN or MSNBC are perverting journalism. In fact, Kelly committed simple journalism in her question to Trump. It is not the journalist's job to avoid difficult questions, frame questions as softballs, or fail to follow up. The question directed by Kelly to Trump in view of the audiotape revealing Trump's remarks on the bus, proved prescient. The question was certainly journalistically relevant and it was quite proper that she asked it. There was no reasonable doubt that Trump was in for questioning on the subject of his relationship with women by the Democrats if he were to win the nomination. Kelly's question was proper, Trump's treatment of women actually was part of the news of the day and, as events proved, much more so in following days.
As to returning to Fox, Kelly would not be doing so for the money, she is set for life, she would be doing so for the power to influence. That will depend on her viewership. Men will always watch her so long she retains her looks, women will watch her to find out how she does it, half of whom will emulate her and half of whom, incapable of looking away, will despise her because of her looks.
When we complain about Shep Smith or Megan Kelly, we are expressing our fears that the other team might score when it comes to bat. That fear is motivated by a fear that the other side is right and we are wrong and that we are liable to be exposed or at least defeated at the polls. I reject that fear. I assert that conservatism is right and progressivism is wrong. In a world of free press our side will prevail so long as actual journalism is practiced. When actual journalism is not practiced, as we see today on CNN or MSNBC and especially in social media, our fears are quite reasonable.
Project Veritas has recently demonstrated that real journalism is not practiced at CNN. But that is an entirely different situation than Shepherd Smith's or Megan Kelly's record. I abominate Shepard Smith and I am wary of Megan Kelly but I do not confuse my personal political views with legitimate journalism. In other words, I do not define legitimate journalism as only that which advances my politics.
I reject Megan's hypocritical views on feminism, but I don't disqualify her as a journalist because of it, and I certainly cannot insist that she be banned from the air because she asked hard questions of candidate Trump. That is to say, because she was doing her job.
Then she'll make some anti-Trump comment, and the world will see her do a dead-cat bounce like none before.
You are prolly right about her coming back to FNC, but I think that Kelly is too smart to step on her dick by bashing Trump.
She was the first FNC anchor to do it and she didn't like the results.
She may hate Trump, but she will keep her claws in the sheath, knowing what will happen if she takes Trump's backers on in a full frontal attack.
Behind the scenes she may potty mouth him, but this is one smart bitch.
keyfabe.....the whole thing with Me-agyn and Tucker.
Wuh-evah!
“Kelly’s question was proper,”
Kelly’s problem wasn’t that she was doing a journalists job, rather it was the perception that she was trying a hack partisan killshot. As far as I’m concerned she picked a side and was going after the other, on her own or at the behest of her bosses.
