Rep. Eric Swalwell, a Democrat on the Intelligence and Judiciary committees, reacted to acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney's remarks that aid to Ukraine was in fact tied to President Trump’s wish for an investigation into the 2016 election.
"He co-signed the President's confession, I guess," he told reporters as he left the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility at Capitol Hill. Swalwell reiterated that Trump still deserves a fair process even though he believes the President has confessed.
"We have a confession from the President," Swalwell said. "When a suspect confesses you can reduce the number of witnesses you need to call, still give them a fair process, but you know, kind of circling in on the timeline and who did what when."
Earlier today, Rep. Adam Schiff told CNN that Mulvaney’s "acknowledgement means that things have gone from very, very bad to much, much worse.”

If the Democraps want a show trial why don’t we give it to them. During the Vietnam war the left had a program called Winter Soldier where they had open show trials about American war crimes.

Dems purposefully conflate the ongoing investigation of the origins of the Collusion Hoax and 2016 server hacking (hint to DNC up your cyber security game) with the Biden’s crooked dealings with Ukraine. Its’s not difficult to comprehend.
Im not sure why Mulvaney said what he did, but I’ll bet there is a plan behind it. He said, basically, all President’s horse trade with US aide ... now discuss amongst you.
House impeachment is a done deal. All that really matters now is perception of all of this by the Republicans in the Senate. You know ... the same ones that couldn’t even kill Obama care. Those people.
For a while I thought there might be hope that the Senate could shut it all down without a trial. Now I see no way that happens. So what’s left is how well Trump does sucking up to Senators and getting their support. Let’s hope he is on the phone with these people as the deal-maker he claims to be.
