Former President George W. Bush, who led the United States into war across the Middle East, attacked President Trump on Wednesday night, saying U.S. intervention is necessary “for the sake of peace” around the globe.
During a panel alongside former President Bill Clinton at the Nir School of the Heart, Bush laid into Trump for his recent decision to withdraw up to 1,000 American troops from northeast Syria — fulfilling his longheld campaign promise to bring troops home after more than a decade of war.
“An isolationist United States is destabilizing around the world,” Bush said, according to the Washington Post‘s Josh Rogin. “We are becoming isolationist and that’s dangerous for the sake of peace.”

George Bush and Bill Clinton on stage gravely confirming the need to send young men and women to needless foreign wars. Interesting that these two were draft dodgers during the Vietnam War (Bush through getting into the Alabama National Guard courtesy of the old man but never even attending their meetings and Clinton with a draft avoidance through the intervention of Sen. JW Fulbright), so its a case of do as I say and not as I did. Stolen valor, private cowardice, big talk from declining old men. It must be noted that Bush was a boyhood friend of Christine Todd Whitman, former governor of NJ who dissed her election platform and recently compared Trump to Hitler. She is much like one of her “republican” predecessors as NJ Gov, William Cahill, who appointed the extremely liberal ex-Governor Dem. Richard Hughes as NJ Supreme Court Chief Justice on his way out. There really is no difference between the Bushes and Clintons; the Bushes despise the people who put them in office and I have never regretted voting for Perot, who was a far better man than either of them.
At which we'll never succeed until we learn how to start saying NO to Israel. Whose national motto is "Let's you and him fight."

He received these votes as well. A man who arrived on scene before his time. IF he had stuck with it and won, where might we be today? CERTAINLY not where we find ourselves at this time - hanging by a frayed thread.
The end result of the Iraq war was to clear a path for Iran to invade Syria, Isreal, etc. and make them much stronger.
It make a much more dangerous war far more likely.
Nothing about this was in America’s interest.
That and the border.
Those 2 things undid much of the good he accomplished.

Now I know why Trump registered as a Democrat in 2001. His instincts told him this dumbass was going to be a disaster and yet the GoP would really around him out of party loyalty — and he wanted to distance himself from it as much as he could.
Bush has a “foundation” that has 10’s of millions from the Saudi’s.

Hey George I thought as a former president you practiced not criticizing sitting presidents. Oh, I see that was only when presidents from your own party were in power like Obama.
George took tons of abuse and BS from the media and his opponents and after this and other statements from him about Trump, I have to believe Bush was pulling for Obama to turn us into the Star Wars bar scene.
