“It’s bad enough that they lie to us, directly and by omission, all the time. But what makes it worse is how their lies are such glaringly obvious fabrications and/or dissimulations that the deepest insult is that they think we might believe them.”
What’s really scary is that so many actually do believe them.
When I am totally ignorant of the situation at hand, one assumption I can always fall back on is that the media is lying. And if Congress and the media are telling the same story I know beyond a shadow of a doubt they are lying.
