Rep. Steve Scalise spoke with Lou Doubs Wednesday evening regarding a foreign policy meeting he attended earlier with President Trump and congressional leaders, as well as his vote to condemn the Trump administration's decision to withdrawal troops from Syria.
Earlier in the day, the House voted in favor of a resolution condemning President Trump for withdrawing troops from Syria. Rep. Scalise was one of the 129 Republicans who joined the Democrats to condemn the presidents decision. A baffled Dobbs told the congressman, You voted for it. I dont understand why.
While 129 Republicans joined with Democrats to condemn Trumps decision, 60 stood by the president.

What a pzt
Lou should have asked the guy if he takes campaign contributions or lobbyist money from PKK or Kurd foundations.
Does anyone really believe all these congressmen are outraged by Trump’s decision? It’s a herd mentality that stampedes for every 24 hour news cycle.
Id tread soft
Steve Scalise has paid his dues for his beliefs far more than nearly all of us
Everyone doesnt have to agree with Trump on this
I do mostly but I have some ambivalence admittedly
One would think that people who voted for this resolution would be eager to explain their vote in an effort to persuade others to join their cause. Not answering any questions on the matter is cowardly. Scalia is just confirming that he is a tool of the establishment.
Pshaw. This stinks like low tide
None of Trumps critics who condemned him explained whats our national interest in being in Syria or what alternative theyre offering.
If they want a war against Turkey, theyre free to authorize one.
This is why Im no longer a Republican.
What are our troops supposed to do? Shoot down Turkish planes? Provide intelligence to Kurds? We are in a no win situation between two so called “allies”. Probably best to sit this one out, at least militarily.
I saw this, Scalise was shaken and flat out would not address the question. My confidence in him is less then it was. Nunes also voted to condemn Trump on Syria. Who’s left, Jordan?
Hes not had any treatment from Dems our troops havent had from foreign attackers. Theres no treading soft, you just dont tread. 50 of our troops as a line in the sand is bullshitz. Move our people back and see what develops. We bleed enough in foreign lands. Always have. Time for Kurds to step up and Trump to hit the turks in the ass/billfold. We shouldnt use sons and daughter for trip wires. Congressmen and senators will look good drawing ammo. Lock and Load and saddle-up. Dont trip on that wire.
Either this is a genuine disagreement on worldview or he has a vested interest in keeping this endless conflict going. (Defense contracts and such?) Being a gunshot victim himself, I cant imagine why he wouldnt empathize with the thousands of soldiers returning to the US maimed or deceased.
That's the reason my rep (Cloud) voted for it.
@SteveScalise - The champs are flying back to Louisiana on Air Force One with @realDonaldTrump after celebrating their Little League World Series Championship victory at The @WhiteHouse
Scalise stonewalled with the best of them
Totally disgusting and heartbreaking!
Primary him. Primary all the traitors.
Whos left?
Jordan.....Mark Meadows....Matt Gaetz STOOD with our President
Just my opinion, but most of these politicians, have never put on combat boots, and seen what war is all about. They think its all like a video game. I have news for these REMFs. It aint. When their kids that start coming home in body bags, they might get a clue. Until then, I doubt they will figure it out.
Yes, these Republicans have no loyalty!
Baloney! There is no excuse for Republicans to ignore the will of the majority of their own voters and go out of their way to pass an idiotic resolution to make Trump look bad!
Good freaking grief!! The Pubbies sure can CONDEMN the President but they say a word about the CORRUPT SPEAKER or FBI or CIA!! IDIOTS!
