Whats it your business? Are you the purity police?
Trump is a special case but in general I feel that 70 is getting a bit too old to be president or leader of any large country. And I am that age myself. The decline may be slight (Biden and Sanders were never much to begin with) but the voter has to factor in further declines likely to take place in the four year (or whatever) term. I think the rule that requires a minimum of 35 years is sound, perhaps a maximum of 65 at election would be wise. And if somebody just under that age sought re-election, I suppose that could be an exception granted by the voters at their discretion, so my rule would not be invoked for a second-term election attempt.
Even if I supported Sanders, for example, my vote would be heavily influenced by how I viewed his running mate.
Trump being more or less one of a kind, I would say hold off on passing this law until 2023.
Why yes.
Thank you for noticing.
