Beto's response during the debate last night was (paraphrasing) that he believed in the American people and that they would voluntarily proffer their AR-15s and AK-47s without needing the government or law enforcement to go door-to-door to confiscate them.

Even if he knew who all of the gun owners were, which he doesn't because there is not gun registry, there are not enough law enforcement personnel in the nation to come close to carrying out this bizarre plan of his. An bad idea not well thought out.

Yeah, that's the ticket, Beto. Law-abiding gun owners will just give up their 2nd Amendment rights voluntarily.

I don't think so.

Of course, Beto can't show where this mass voluntary compliance has ever happened before. It didn't happen in Connecticut or New Jersey. It didn't happen in New Zealand. When bump stocks were outlawed only about 1000 of the over a million out there were turned in.
