Where do you people come up with this nonsense? "Christ" is merely the English form of the name of the Savior. In the original language it was Χριστός.

The first letter of this is the Greek letter 'X'.

I leave it to you to figure the rest.

In the original language we would recognize any of it. We speak English, maybe you think those that began the use of Xmas new what the original language said? Maybe we could just make stuff up, would it matter?
