Do you seriously believe Hollywood would buy a script that makes them look like jerks? Jerk-jerks - NOT lovable jerks but total asshats? A story about a ‘weinstein’ that’s NOT sympathetic? A film from the perspective of the powerless victims and the sluts who ‘made it’ in the industry by sleeping their way to the top? o
Early in the “meToo’ movement there was a story about two Russian girls taken advantage of - stars in their eyes - one girl tricked into an abortion. Both men expressed shame only after being ‘outed’... From the vantage point of the two 15 year old girls... Could be an amazing film. Orson Wells could come back to life and offer to direct it and Hollywood wouldn’t buy it.
My point is that you don't need Hollywood to buy the script. It's possible to raise money, hire talent, produce and distribute a film without Hollywood having anything to do with it. People do it all the time instead of whining about how unfair Hollywood is.
