I can understand someone thinking they will win a suit against a law that takes away freedom, but how do they expect to win against a law that grants freedom? They certainly can’t win on constitutional grounds.
There are many who are ideologically committed to taking away freedom. Most “Progressives” are. Many of them are judges.
