“Hot, humid, sub-tropical climate. Love bugs, fire ants, cottonmouths, rattlesnakes, copperheads, mosquitos, mud daubers..”
Much overstated. Too hot about three months out of the year, love bugs only in South Louisiana and South Texas, etc., mosquitoes handled nicely by dragonflies this summer. I did kill a huge, ugly rattlesnake about a hundred feet from my back porch. I think it was tracking my dog or cat. This is hardly Australia.
“...This is hardly Australia....”
Australia? Who said anything about Australia? FWIW, I’d take south Louisiana any day of the week over Australia, but I didn’t exaggerate all that much. We’ve seen/killed all on that list with our own lying eyes...in south Louisiana. But I must admit that I wouldn’t know about any of that north of I-10 though....LOL.
We go over there quite frequently as we have lots of close friends and family there. Love the food and culture. Plus, most of my shooting buddies live over there.
