I STILL would like an answer to the question: Why are First Amendment rights for individuals but freedom of the press is for a tiny subset of the population? Why aren’t individuals have a right of a free press?

The "press" is not journalism, it is the machine - the printing press.

"Freedom of the press" is the right of the People to publish.

That means the right to publish books, magazines, newspapers, and blogs.
