Ah, the ubiquitous Beltway Bandits. Same thing with Rt. 66 in Virginia heading north from the Beltway.

I totally agree that the federal government should be decentralized. Fed employees love working remotely, that is until you actually ask them to work from areas outside of DC. At that point they suddenly cite the need to be “at the office”.
