More like vice versa, historically speaking...the Holy See has issued multiple bulls against Masonry, yet there have been (and are) many Masons who are Catholics.

The Masonic lodges are far smaller in membership now than was the case 50 years ago. The Masons are having the same problem in attracting members that other fraternal or service organizations suffer from. Also, white Protestants, the main source of Masonic membership, are scarce in New York City.

With respect to the identity of the arsonist, it could be a Larouche supporter, a radical traditionalist Catholic, an Alex Jones acolyte, or just a nonaligned loon.
