He was 4 or 5 years old and living in a suburb of Dresden when it was bombed by Allied forces.

I used to order a meal at a German restaurant in Tamworth, New Hampshire, that had “Klopfer” in the name. “Konigsberger-Klopfer”, it was. (Popped out of my memory, it did). ;)

I also knew a immigrant from Dresden, who survived the bombing, who’d also moved to NH. Name was Bill Kaiser, now deceased.

Isn’t this practice called “taking coup”?
