There are plenty of real examples of sanctuary cities refusing to cooperate with ICE. This was not one of them. This is a fake story.

If we are going to make up stories, then we are no better than the Rats.

I'm going to try one more time with you two before I conclude this is yet another fruitless time sink.

What is your opinion on the dropping of not one, but two atomic bombs on Japan? You know, the action that even LeMay admitted they would have been tried as war criminals if we had lost.

Ready for the rationale? It shortened the war, it saved American lives, it saved Japanese lives, etc.

Well, try and apply the same logic here. Any advantage that is favorable to the patriot cause is a positive attribute. What if this and similar types of stories were critical in winning just one more state like MN in 2020?

Now do you get the A-bomb reference? If you cannot accept that all is fair in love and war, then you will continue to be bedeviled by a very bad case of cognitive dissonance.

You cannot rationalize war - you must play to win, or suffer the consequences of defeat.

Please tell me which parts of this, besides the attention grabbing fake headline, are fake:

Antonio Ulises Perez was charged with first-degree rape on Sept. 30, and made bond early Wednesday morning. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement had asked that he be transferred to the custody of deportation officers, but the sheriff’s department refused, and released him instead.

Did he make bond or not? Why would he need to make bond if the charges were dropped?

“Within a few hours of being released, this illegal alien was back at the home of the rape victim where he was free to re-victimize her and harm other members of the community,” said Marc Moore, director of ICE's Dallas field office.

Was he apprehended at the victim's house after being released or not?

He said deportation officers were able to track Mr. Perez down and he is now in custody awaiting deportation proceedings.

Is he in custody awaiting deportation proceeding?

The county sheriff’s department did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the incident.

Why not simply respond with the truth as you have told it? Why not just say the charges were dropped and we couldn't hold him indefinitely, so we gave ICE a 2 hr window to come get him and they never did?

You may be absolutely right that this is drummed-up hype, but to what or whose purpose? Looks to me like finger-pointing back and forth after a screw-up on both sides.
