Dems are stillborn this cycle and the smart ones know it, this cycle’s objective should be to knee cap the radical left... so the party can moderate for 2024 when they will have an honest shot at the white house.
To do this, they need to have a radical win the nomination, and then go down in flames.
If Biden or some other “moderate”, and Biden only looks moderate, because the rest of them are whackadoo.... and he loses 15-35 the radical left just grows because they will argue “SEE, WE WEREN’T LEFT ENOUGH!”.... and will continue to gain influence .
However if a far left whackadoo runs, and goes down in flames with less than 10 states... then that entire argument goes away, the more moderate players win the argument and the party moderates for 2024.
This, IMHO, is what the whole impeachment thing is about, it will almost certainly take out Biden.... and hand the nomination to Warren or some other far left whackadoo... It will also ensure that the opposition base is fired up to Defcon 5... So, regardless of who the D nominee is, they will get slaughtered.
