I look at the backlash to Trump’s decision and have to ask myself, is Trump doing this to turn the nation hawkish? A lot of liberals I spar with are finding themself in the awkward position of being against removing our troops from the middle east.

Trump is doing exactly what he promised. I can find dozens of countries where similar atrocities are occurring hourly. If we have to “do the right humanitarian thing” here, why not elsewhere. Add another $25 trillion to the yearly pentagon budget and bring back the draft. Then all of these democrats and neo cons will be happy. I say let them buy a rifle and plane ticket to Damascus. Let Trump’s critics put their asses where their mouths are.
Leftists live in a state of conflicting emotions vs laws vs what's right at all times. They long ago chose their ideology over laws. Some still have a conscious and at some level they know what is right or wrong but they still choose ideology over everything else. Even family.
