"Multiple civilians are murdered in Chicago every week, and nobody cares."

Have those civilians fought and suffered faithfully alongside our own soldiers for the purpose of having a country like ours someday? No real U.S. soldier likes leaving loyal assets behind to be killed by the enemy. I've known a few who were ordered to abandon such people to communist enemies of the U.S.A., and they've never gotten over that.

Unless you want to take on Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria to carve out a country for the Kurds, there’s no reason for us to remain there.

You mean like the entire country of South Vietnam?

It has been the KURDS who have been the primary benefactors of OUR assistance. WE have been fighting on THEIR soil. It is with our help, our protection, our weapons, our airpower and artillery, our money, that they have taken military and political control of almost all of Syria east of the Euphrates. WE protected THEM from Assad and Putin while they greatly expanded their territory.

Sure, the Kurds helped us accelerate the defeat of ISIS, and helped prevent ISIS from moving into Iraq. But in time, ISIS would have fallen eventually to Syria and Russian forces (at a higher cost to Syria and Russia), as would much of the Kurdish controlled territory in Syria. We have been assisting them for 6 years. Our soldiers are not there to fight for 'Rojava'. Time for them to start finding some political solutions.

You need boots on the ground to defeat ISIS. SDF being these boots has allowed US forces to suffer only 8 deaths in Syria while the SDF suffered around 12,000.
