According to Der Spiegel several men tried to force their way into the synagogue. Hmmmm..........
The Turkish grill or bakery operation...is about 150 feet from the entrance to the synagogue. The Jewish cemetery is about 10 feet to the east of the synagogue, with cops saying some type of explosive device was thrown over there.
Once shooting was heard or confirmed by some guard associated with the synagogue...he locked down the doorway and no one entered. It may be that innocent people on the street were seeking refuge there, or the getaway was screwed up and attackers (plural) had issues.
Lot of discussion on N24 (commercial news in Germany) that it was minimum of two guys. Cops currently hold someone that they think was part of the group.
Now in the last hour, German cops are saying there is some right-wing element to the attack. Two of the guys in the attack...hijacked a car and took off on the autobahn toward Munich. Appears they got safely away...the 3rd guy is in police custody.
Witnesses say the attack on the Turkish grill shop involved some guy in mil-gear and a military helmet.
