Guilty people say “there is no evidence”. [Mostly] innocent people say they “didn’t do it” or “it didn’t happen”.

In the early days of TV there was a science fiction series with a name something like "The Flying Disk Man from Mars."

In one episode a character is accused of something really nefarious (like collaborating with the Nazs). The accused man's response is: "You can't prove that!"

Guilty people say “there is no evidence”
