I'm a little suspicious myself.

I suspect that the cost is way inflated, and that the weapons might have been re-directed or returned, and that since the alleged CEO doesn't know what means "assault rifle", that we could be looking at a high vis con.

We want proof, meaning makes, models, and numbers (not a few pics). .

Indeed. There would be a chop-saw video if this story were true. Until I see one, I'm inclined to think that Dick's wholesale distributor just bought the rifles back and redirected them to other, less foolish customers.
