That's why I've been increasingly of the mind that this "whistleblower" stuff is a COINTELPRO operation to undermine the execution of foreign policy by the POTUS. There is no "whistleblower" in regards to Article II powers - it is out and out espionage, to tilt the tables in favor of foreign interests. I don't see any other explanation for this all out, last ditch kind of hysterics that's going on right now.
You're right IMHo, with Brennan and Schiff behind it all. Dems in the House with any sort of skeleton in their closet are no doubt being visited by someone from the CIA or FBI and shown what sort of leverage one or both of those agencies could leak.
For those House members who don't care whether or not dirt on them gets out or even don't have much dirt worthy of comment, there are promises being made that are all out of proportion to what a lowly House member can normally expect for their vote. I've heard that much from friends who work in DC.
The scent of desperation is in the air and Trump will have to end up like Napoleon said he'd have handled the Revolutionaries, with a whiff of grapeshot. In Trump's case, most likely not literal grapeshot, but something politically equivalent.
