I will stick up for the local media a bit in that in these types of situation they can usually just report what the police, fire or whatever agency is involved can tell them.

Having said that I hear all to often on the local news a parroting of what ever talking points the alphabet news is hawking that day.

Oh, yeah. Tour down 18th off of State Ave. towards Wood Ave., and hang a left on Wood for a stroll around Westheight Park. There was a 7-Eleven at 18th and Wood back then. It was the place to be after midnight on the weekend for socializing. Then back out to take a left on 18th and head down towards Quindaro. Nice neighborhood for sightseeing, maybe get a haircut and look at real estate. ;)

Things change over 40 years. But I would be surprised, if that area is Hispanic even now.

Oh, yeah, especially Prospect around Truman and up in the street numbers on Prospect from Truman. Beautiful residential areas to the sides of Prospect up through there. Great place for an evening stroll or even to look for a home. ;)
