Former AF Security Forces here. If you are a perceived threat to US Air Force resources anywhere in the world, we are fully trained, equipped and authorized to F you up.
Seems that’s the case!
Can you describe This
Barrier?
Sounds like it was more
Than a couple speed Bumps.
I was in England 1991 - 1992. I was security with my company, detailed to a facility in England we were building for DOD. The USAF Security Services from the nearby RAF/USAF base were responsible for securing the perimeter of the facility, while my company provided security inside the fence during construction.
I was given Field Grade Officer travel orders, so I could give “orders” to the SS types on the job. I’m glad I only had to exercise that command authority once. There had been a fire alarm while I was there early one morning, but there was no sign of smoke or fire, so I ordered the guards to keep the USAF fire department out. I had confirmed this with the Colonel commanding the facility just that evening. Wheee! A false alarm, Thank The Lord.
The Young Men With Guns were cool, but they liked their stories of accidental killings during security exercises, and ghost stories while patrolling the old WW2 facilities.
Good!
