Eric Trump: Hypocrisy creates unlevel playing field in politics
The Hill ^ | October 3, 2019 | Eric Trump, Opinion Contributor

I am keenly aware of how fortunate I was to be born the son of one of the wealthiest and most well known businessmen in America. I am also the first to admit that things are different when you grow up as a Trump.

Anyone who has paid attention to the news, especially since my father announced his run for the White House, knows the media has attacked every member of my family viciously and given us anything but kind treatment. The adult “children” in our family are certainly not off limits. We did after all fight alongside our father in his quest to win the presidency. We stood on that stage and campaigned across the nation, and are certainly willing to take the punches where they are warranted and deserved. The double standard, however, is nothing short of glaring.

It would be a waste of print to recount every smear, hit piece, and invasion of privacy my family has faced. But allow me to sum it up by highlighting an article published by Forbes and reposted in virtually every major news outlet, attacking a charity that I started when I was 20 years old. In less than 10 years, I raised more than $20 million for terminally ill children at Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital. I maintained just over a 9 percent cumulative expense ratio, one of the lowest expense ratios of any charity in the nation, and funded the construction of one of the most cutting edge intensive care units and surgery centers dedicated to children.

This is so true. The Trump family is not a political family. Donald Trump is not by nature a politician. He is a businessman who by nature is used to getting things done. Americans need to rally around this president, a man who really cares about the people .

I owe all of my work ethic, character, integrity, and moral fiber to my father. Hunter Biden can say the same.

Talk about a well-turned phrase.
And it certainly leaves a mark!

It’s not hypocrisy. It is full frontal Bolshevism.

Don Jr. worked on an episode of a TV series I was producing in 2006. He was a polite, grateful, and completely unspoiled “kid”. Everyone liked him and I knew his dad did something right.

Eric Trump will make a great President one day if he chooses to.

President Donald Trump said for years he didn’t want anything to do with running for political office but also said if the country gets so bad; he would consider running for President and that’s exactly what happened and what he did.

They can say anything they like about Donald Trump but he isn’t a liar. Does he embellish? Yes and he also bloviates but most good intelligent story tellers do to make the story more interesting but he doesn’t lie; not about the important things.

We Freepers know enough about politicians to know most of them lie up a storm regardless of party affiliation and they just get worse the longer they stay in politics. They believe it’s expected of them and to some extent it might be to stay in the good graces of the party leadership and get the good committee assignments. Too bad it’s that way. Power corrupts - as they say.

.

Why does no one even mention that China sent an $80,000 diamond to Hunter Biden’s hotel room at night?

It demonstrates what was going on, and it begs the question, why didn’t Biden contact the FBi?

I don’t see hum in that role.

He strikes me as the kindest of the Trumps. Don Jr seems to have inherited the player gene, while Eric has the philanthropist portion of Dad’s DNA.

I think Ivanka is the ruthless one.

To round it our, Marla is her mom’s daughter and we don’t know about Barron, yet.
