So how many hours extra a year must I work to support craft brewers and what business is it of the Feds to interfere with every minutia of the “free” market. I certainly dont feel so free.

It is a tax break, NOT a giveaway. If the breaks go away and the breweries go under, THEN you will be paying to make up for the loss in revenue.
InBev and Miller-Coors use overseas operations to get themselves bigger tax breaks and pass off a lot of piss water as beer.
A LOT of small brewers' property was rendered nearly valueless by prohibition. Although they generally the people originally cheated, at least some of these microbrews are reviving old local formulae.

You sound like a leftist. “How are we going to “pay” for this tax break?”
Reducing the tax rate the brewer pays only reduces the amount stolen from the market, allowing (as the article plainly demonstrates) re-investment in the businesses, economic growth and more jobs.
It costs about 35 cents to make a pint of beer. It costs another dollar for the building, and serving staff another 50 cents. ALL THE REST IS TAXES!
Cruise on down to your local and order a beer. Look at your bill. The price of the beer already has a ton of tax included, then the local and state agencies charge a tax ON THE ALREADY TAXED PRICE.
As I said, a lower tax rate is not a subsidy.
