I could also mention that Ted has stolen a lot of stuff from me. When I was young I had stored some things at my parents until I could get them later.

Among the stuff was around 25 cans of reloading powder, most of them full. When I later picked them up, each can had a tiny amount still in it. Did I know who stole it?

Could it have been the guy who liked to make bombs?

Naw, that makes too much sense! Must’ve been some other person you haven’t thought of. Perhaps a perfect stranger knew where your stash was, and managed to take only that.

Ok, back to the real world, did you confront Teddy? I have a family member who, it was recently discovered, stole something of value from another family member. The thief won’t own up to it, but we now have evidence that this person has the missing item, and has lied to the whole family about it. Opinions on how to handle this without alienating that person’s immediate family is tearing us apart. Trust has been broken. What did you do?
