Wouldn’t be surprised if demokraps would want the Whistleblower (WB) to be the current version of Watergate’s “deep throat” - maximum damage w anonymity. This case is different in that the CIA is involved - if a CIA “administrative process” can bring down a POTUS w an anonymous accuser filing a complaint based on hearsay and lies, America ceases to exist, no one is safe. There is one article out there with WB’s name ... and who knows if that name is not made up where the CIA is involved.

As far as the GOP not shrieking, some have been speaking up, but you would not know it by the major media outlets. “Silence” to the opposition is very powerful in that it allows the fake demokrap media to control the narrative in the common person’s mind. However, searching the internet, there are a number of GOP who are pushing back hard on the demokraps. Jim Jordan sent a great letter to IG Atkinson, that includes giving notice to preserve records related to the whole WB process, including changing the forms.

“Plus he wrote Eight Is Enough which became a TV series.”

That always surprised me the most about Tom Braden’s bio. Braden the curmudgeon liberal ex-spook being the inspiration for a tv sitcom.

Crossfire with Buchanan and Braden was a good show. They managed to debate real issues and it wasn’t a clown show, unlike the majority of their imitators over the years.

Maybe that was because Buchanan and Braden both had been journalists before going on TV, and they were disciplined in the art of constructing arguments and presenting ideas. “Discipline” isn’t something I associate with, say, Sean Hannity.

Brady and Buchanan viewpoints in show....

True. I never remember them verbally slashing the opponent and interrupting and upstaging each other. I guess today such a dialogue would never last two minutes.

Buchanan and Braden were never rude to each other despite having strongly differing opinions, and they actually developed their ideas. Buchanan had a good sense of humor which I’m sure helped to keep vitriol at a minimum.

Today we are plagued with what I think of as Celebrity Conservatives, who are all about marketing themselves. Most of them don’t know how to make coherent arguments, it’s all about posturing. The majority know remarkably little compared to the likes of that old crew, and the result is the clown shows that have some of the form of the original Crossfire with none of the substance.
