[...] After the interview, [Bhavendra] Matta discouraged the hiring of Ryu. Matta made a statement to [John] Cuder to the effect that Intel should not hire Ryu because he was Korean, married, and had a child. Matta further made a statement to Cuder to the effect of It would be easier to hire a younger, unmarried Indian man.
19. Former Senior Firmware Engineer Ravi Gopalan, who is of Indian descent and was a member of the management of Ryus team, openly favored the hiring and promotion of only employees from India. Gopalans stated rationale was that Indians work hard and Indians are harder workers. Gopalan also encouraged Ryus former supervisor, Peter Bisgaard, to hire only Indian employees.
20. Throughout Ryus tenure, management of the System Integration Team, which is primarily composed of managers from India, has openly shown favoritism toward employees from India or of Indian or south-Asian descent regarding the use of vacation and leave. Most employees who are not Indian or south-Asian receive only two to three weeks of vacation or leave per year. This cannot possibly be true - only white Americans are racist.
Except - I have lived all around the world. Want to see real racism? Live abroad.
I will say one thing for a majority of white Americans - they are desperately naïve and ignorant.
Was it because he was Korean origin or American national?
Or was it both?
Oh, the conundrums of being a commie lib who proselytizes evil white people, especially white Americans.
This is well known. Indian managers openly discriminate against non-Indians all over the tech sector. I’m glad someone is finally taking it to court.
Most of the Indian developers I’ve know have only worked hard at covering their asses. It’s impossible to get them to take ownership of a project or decision, and they often pad their projected effort hours.
Of course there are exceptions, but it’s a noticeably prevalent trait.
And even the non-naive are awfully nice and “tolerant”. We are by our nature. It’s only white libs pushing us to our limits with their constant badgering.
There are many great things about Indians. I’ve basically known only essentially great workers and often very nice people.
At the same time, I’ve noticed many of them feel quite entitled. A bit different from other groups’ entitlement, but still, they think the red carpet should be rolled out for them everywhere.
Indian doctors only refer to other Indians.
Avoid them like the plague .
Crappy Indian only network care .
Dragging there feudal caste system here !
Caste system thinking .
We are suckers that let them in to steal jobs .
Trying getting a job in India .
I don’t know. My boss is Indian and keeps going back there yearly. Last year she got major food poisoning and her son - a doctor here - told her, no, she must get a flight back to the US rather than get into an Indian hospital!
Soon, they'll insist on riding on top of our trains.
I was selling imported luxury cars 20 years ago and had an Indian prospect come in that built PCs and demanded, yes demanded, that I sell him a car at 1% over invoice saying that was his profit margin as well. I merely chuckled and told him if we did that, wed be turning off the lights and out of a job.
He left, never dame back.
Inside Intel, its well known there are only three groups which get promotions or good assignments.
Indians
Mormons
Those who make “Special Arrangements”
I give you the previous Co-CEO, Rene James.
No one I know ever heard of her before she was promoted (and then terminated 5 years later)
Intel is not the excellent company it was under Paul or Andy.
AMD is making a serious run at their market share this year.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
I have worked IT with Indians for over a decade. I will take a normal American over an Indian in a heartbeat.
