Outside of Chicago and Cook County, and probably Springfield, Illinois is a conservative state. And EVERONE outside of Chicago pretty much hates that sh!thole.
Yeh. But for generations untold, Chicago has had the votes to keep the state blue despite the widespread sentiment of those living in the rural and suburban counties, especially since those generations untold famously keep getting up out of their graves and voting.
I lived in Chicago as a kid. It used to be pretty nice, except on the South Side.
