Look up the word deinstitutionalization
Happened way back when Reagan was Governor. The ACLU (who else) filed suit against the State and Reagan went along with it.
So now the few remaining decent folk who are being forced to live with the consequences are now, according to you, do absolutely nothing about it.
Yes, thats the ticket. Dont do anything at all to point up publicly just how useless these elected officials are. Dont do anything to call attention to how relatively easy it would be to clean things up. And most especially dont do anything to embarrass the legions of taxpayer funded advocates who are making the problem worse instead of better.
Nope, just listen to old Jon over there telling you to sit on your asses while the piles of filth grow ever larger threatening the health of the community you live in and the people you love.
Yep. Just sit there and do nothing. Old Jon here is quite expert at that.
L (Just because you dont like it)
The LA government is a fetid cesspool of corruption, and shoveling siht for mental cases isn't helping, other than making the fading "compassionate conservative" wing of the GOP like you feel warm and fuzzy. So scroll up the thread, to where I suggested these kids register new Trump voters, rather than moping up their pee. That would accomplish something, less publicity for sure, but an accomplishment nevertheless.
About your "L" again. I didn't ask you for how long you signed off using that, I asked why you did. Still waiting. Clown.

Bingo!
I asked why you did.
1. Because I can.
2. Because it annoys you.

It highlights the fact a clean-up can be done but government officials continue to fail to act.
It should be an effective means to call-out and shame politicians but they have no shame.
It also raises the spirit of the community and makes them aware of what's possible; that they don't have to live with filth.
Your hackneyed cliches aside, point to any demonstrable proof of your assertion.
I say this because I can and because it's true.

Why does this story remind of Tom Sawyer and the fence?
And the before pictures of garbage, decay, and filth demonstrate exactly how much they (democrat politicians) "care" once the voters have given them total power.
Great job of showing how to get something done👍.
Helping one’s neighbors who are being overrun by this crud is not a waste of time. It shames the bums who don’t care about the mess they make, and restores hope in the victims of the bums... that not everyone is a dirtball... not even the person most accused of being one. That little bit of restored faith, even if the crud returns which it limely will, may energize another person or many persons to quit complaining and do something every day to make that day a little better than the one before.
Most likely they do encounter people while doing this who subsequently change their minds and join those who build up and restore rather than remain with those who knock down, complain, criticize, and do nothing.
Who cares if by reaching out they encourage one more to join up?
After you change a diaper how long does it take before the baby fills it up again? What if it’s not a baby but an alzheimer’s patient? Should we be neglectful and not change the diapers then, since they’ll just get crapped up again?
Should Christ have not washed the disciples’ feet? They just got dusty again.
This is why women’s work, and the labor of garbage men and janitors and the like, what other societies we no not envy call lower caste work, which is too often thankless and never ends, has been disdained by men and feminists, even though no man and no society can survive without it, and often goes without great reward. Instead it should be highly esteemed, in order that it continues to get done, to stave off the normal decay of time and the accelerated rot of apathy and nihilism.
That’s the difference between US and Dems.
They talk the walk and we walk the walk:-)
