The NYT got it right; under that definition, this is not a coup. America’s enemies are working too slowly (three years so far) for this to be sudden. The group involved in attempting to overthrow our duly-elected government is not small. And the definition seems to imply success. We’re merely facing an attempted coup, perhaps sedition, or the heating up of our second civil war, not quite a coup. Somehow, that does not make me feel better about the evil actions of today’s left.
The Dems are in a death spiral.
And the crash is soon to come. How will we know its happening? When they start to consume each other like rabid animals.
If these Dem idiots continue, they will lose any chance of winning Congress and the Presidency for the next 20 years.I hope they keep it up.

This is pure nonsense from the NYT. The word “coup” has been used loosely for a long time now. And the overthrow doesn’t always have to be that sudden. As for the illegal vs. legal distinction, not only is the word sometimes used in perfectly legal situations (e.g. a coup in the boardroom), but there are certainly plenty of illegal activities going on to support this coup attempt even if the impeachment vote itself is not illegal.

I find it amusing that the media has the biggest story ever regarding politics in America and instead of coming out and reporting the truth, they are trying to cover it up.
