The protesters stormed government buildings in Najaf, Dhi Qar, Nasiriyah, Maysan, Qadisiyah, Baghdad, Bab al-Sharqi and Babylon
Dhi Qar province declared a curfew after a protest that saw deaths and injuries. Three protesters were killed and dozens wounded,
They are demanding better services and fighting corruption.
Looks like the Shia fighting among themselves - there are just a few major political factions/patronage networks of significance, which might vie for control. The protesters are waving flags which seem to indicate their affiliation, but I can’t read them.
Very likely that Iran/Iranian client surrogates are participating, on one side or the other.
